By Naomi D Brown

You did it, ladies! It is officially the end of the year. I am so grateful for the chance to help a community of women grow their businesses and community in the face of ever-changing circumstances. Last week knowing, growing, and showing was the topic of discussion which prompted many of you to ask for more advice about getting prepared for all the opportunities and challenges 2023 will bring. I love that my Sister Bosses are paying attention and asking for what you want! To further assist, consider Her Corner’s Sacred Trio of Questions for Growing & Scaling Your Business: What are the two most important things you need to do next? How will you get it done? How much of it will you do? Let’s get to the details…

1. Your Vision:

It’s time to move forward; but where are you going? While you have already turned the business upside down both inside and out examining what worked and what didn’t, it’s time to assess what you want for your business and life in 2023. Knowing the destination will increase your confidence as a leader and decision-maker. As well, it will create a clear roadmap to drive your business and a Her Corner Coach is happy to be your GPS. Check out these lists of questions to help answer the question "what are the two most important things you need to do next?". No need to reinvent the wheel.

2. Your Operations:

How will you get it done? Let’s think about a road trip. You prepare by gassing up, checking your tires, and ensuring the car is in good condition to secure a smooth ride and safe arrival. As you set out to the next destination for your business, look at your processes and staff and determine if everything is in working order to execute the vision. Do you need to hire or fire? Do you need to create a dashboard for yourself to know the key performance indicators to focus on daily? Operational efficiency is essential.

3. Your Sales Goals

You know what, you know how, but now figure out how much it will take?

Check out our framework to work through your numbers. If you are still apprehensive about completing forecasts accurately, join one of our accelerator events or peer groups for support. https://hercorner.org/membership/

Look at service pricing, peak versus non-peak seasons since nothing is more important than having a plan A, B, & C for achieving numbers. Remember, if it doesn’t make dollars, it doesn’t make sense!

However, if you end up answering these questions, know that preparing for any journey helps you to complete it.

You Got This, So Let’s Get It Done!
